Regex Tester & Validator

Matches date-like patterns anchored at the start of each line (multiline flag): a 1-4 digit number, a separator (slash, hyphen, or any non-whitespace character), a 1-2 digit middle value, a second separator, and a trailing 1-4 digit number. Captures each component for later parsing. Useful for loosely extracting or validating numeric dates like 2023/05/15 or 12-25-99, though it does not verify valid month/day ranges.
