Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches a date range consisting of two dates in DD/MM/YYYY (or MM/DD/YYYY) format separated by a space, hyphen, and space, e.g. '01/01/2024 - 07/01/2024'. The start date is captured in a named group 'begin' and the end date in 'end', making extraction easy in Python code. With the global and multiline flags, it validates each line independently, which is useful for parsing week or period ranges from logs, schedules, or reports. It validates the format only, not whether the dates are semantically valid.
