Test, validate and match regular expressions
This pattern matches every occurrence of the single letter 'a', regardless of case, anywhere in the input text. The 'i' flag makes it case-insensitive so both 'a' and 'A' are matched, while the 'g' flag finds all occurrences rather than stopping at the first. Despite being labeled for website validation, this regex is far too simple for that purpose and would trivially match almost any text containing the letter.
