Regex Tester & Validator

Validates a 17-character Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) by breaking it into its standard sections using named capture groups: wmi (World Manufacturer Identifier, 3 chars), vds (Vehicle Descriptor Section, 5 chars), check digit (numeric or X), and vis (Vehicle Identifier Section with year, plant, and 6-char sequence). The character class [A-HJ-NPR-Z\d] excludes the letters I, O, and Q, which are prohibited in VINs to avoid confusion with 0 and 1. Ideal for validating vehicle input in JavaScript forms or parsing VIN data.
