Regex Tester & Validator

Matches numeric version strings with up to four dot-separated components (major.minor.fix.build), where only the major number is required. Each part is captured into a named group (major, minor, fix, build) for easy programmatic extraction of individual version fields. Ideal for parsing software version identifiers from logs, filenames, or configs, e.g. '2', '1.4', or '10.2.1.357'.
