Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Validates signed integer and decimal numbers on each line of input. It matches an optional leading + or - sign, followed by one or more digits, optionally with a decimal point and at least one fractional digit (e.g., 42, -3.14, +0.5). The multiline flag anchors ^ and $ to individual lines, and the global flag captures all matches — ideal for input validation, parsing numeric fields in logs, or filtering numeric rows in datasets. It rejects scientific notation and incomplete forms like '5.' or '.5'.
