Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches domain names and loose URL strings, optionally prefixed with 'http', 'https', or 'www' followed by up to 3 digits. The core pattern captures dotted subdomain segments, a domain label (allowing hyphens), and a 2-5 letter lowercase TLD like '.com' or '.info'. Note it lacks the '://' separator, so it also matches concatenations like 'httpexample.com'. Useful for loosely extracting or highlighting domain-like strings in text using global, multiline matching.
