Matches version strings with a numeric major.minor prefix followed by a dot and a word-character suffix, such as Unity-style versions like 2023.3.55f1 or 2021.3.18f1. Group 1 captures the major.minor numbers (e.g., 2023.3), while group 2 captures the revision/build identifier (e.g., 55f1) including letters, digits, or underscores. With global and multiline flags enabled, it processes many version strings across lines, making it ideal for extracting Unity engine versions from changelogs, ProjectVersion.txt, or build manifests.
