Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches lines that optionally begin with a whitespace character and digits, followed by the ESC control character (\x1b, hex 1B) that initiates ANSI escape sequences, then lazily consumes any characters up to the first backslash. With multiline mode, ^ anchors at the start of each line, making this useful for scanning terminal output, logs, or captured console text containing ANSI escape codes. The lazy quantifier ensures the shortest possible match ending at a backslash.
