Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches UK Companies House registration numbers across regional formats: plain 8+ digit numbers for England & Wales companies, and prefixed formats such as SC (Scotland), NI (Northern Ireland), OC (England/Wales LLPs), RO and SO (Scottish LLPs) followed by six or more digits. Useful for validating business identifiers in forms, data cleansing, and extracting company numbers from documents. Note that due to alternation precedence, the ^ only anchors the digit branch and the $ only anchors the SO branch, which may allow partial matches.
