Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches leading zeros in dotted numeric segments: zeros appearing at the start of the string or right after a dot, but only when at least one more digit follows. Ideal for stripping leading zeros from IP address octets (e.g., 192.168.007.001 → 192.168.7.1) without touching meaningful zeros like those in 10.0.0.1. Typically used with a global replace of matches with an empty string.
