Test, validate and match regular expressions
Captures runs of one or more common delimiter characters: whitespace plus punctuation such as equals, colon, slash, at, hash, dollar, asterisk, pipe, comma, semicolon, quotes, backslash, parentheses, square/curly brackets, angle brackets, periods, underscores, and hyphens. Ideal for tokenizing text or splitting strings, it extracts the separators between words and identifiers (e.g., in key=value or path/segment syntax). The g flag finds every delimiter run, while m processes each line independently.
