Matches strings that begin with a formal title — Mr, Mrs, Ms, Dr, or Er (engineer, common in India) — followed by a period and then one or more alphabetic characters, e.g. 'Dr.Smith' or 'Er.Ramesh'. Anchored with ^ and $, so the entire input must conform, rejecting spaces, digits, or extra symbols. Useful for validating honorific-plus-surname fields in forms or contact data entry.
