Test, validate and match regular expressions
A classic email address validation regex. The local part accepts dotted segments of safe characters or a fully quoted string, while the domain part matches either a bracketed IPv4 address like [192.168.1.1] or a standard hostname ending in a TLD of two or more letters (e.g., example.com). With global and multiline flags, it validates multiple email addresses line by line, making it suitable for form validation and email extraction from text.
