Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches any single character that is NOT a hyphen, question mark, digit (0-9), period, or comma. It is commonly used to detect invalid characters in numeric input, such as numbers that may include a negative sign, decimal point, or thousands separator. Note that inside the character class, the '?' is treated as a literal character, not a quantifier. With the 'gm' flags, it scans all lines of input and returns every occurrence.
