Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches IPv4 addresses line-by-line (multiline flags), validating that each of the four octets is 0-255 using three alternatives (1?\d?\d for 0-199, 2[0-4]\d for 200-249, 25[0-5] for 250-255) followed by a word boundary. Because the dot separator \.? is optional, it also incorrectly matches dotless digit sequences like '1234', making this a non-optimal IP validator. Best used for per-line IP extraction from logs or config files.
