Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches valid IPv4 addresses where each of the four octets ranges from 0 to 255. Each octet is broken into alternatives (250-255, 200-249, 100-199, 10-99, 0-9) to enforce the upper bound, with word boundaries preventing partial matches inside larger numbers. Commonly used to validate or extract IP addresses from logs, configuration files, or user input. The g and m flags allow finding all matches across multiple lines.
