Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches at the start of each line (multiline mode) a sequence of letters, underscores, or spaces (captured in group 1), followed by exactly three digits (group 2), and a trailing whitespace character. Commonly used to strip or split strings like 'Item 123 ' into a text prefix and a 3-digit numeric code, e.g., for removing labels or codes from lines of text. The global flag allows finding all such matches throughout the input.
