Build, test, and debug regular expressions
This regex matches either a double-quoted string (which may safely contain colons inside the quotes) or a run of one or more characters that are not colons. Used with the global flag, it effectively splits a string on colon delimiters while keeping quoted sections intact. This is handy for parsing colon-delimited config data, key:value pairs, or CSV-like formats where values may contain the delimiter.
