Regex Tester & Validator

Matches the words 'text' or 'simple' in multiline input while skipping occurrences inside HTML markup. The negative lookahead rejects a match if it is followed by a closing angle bracket without an intervening '<' (meaning it sits inside a tag, e.g. <input type="text">) or by a closing tag directly after it (as in <b>text</b>). Typically used for spell-checking or keyword highlighting in HTML content without touching the markup itself.
