Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches bare identifier slugs (starting with a letter or underscore, followed by letters, digits, or underscores) while skipping tokens fully wrapped in braces like {variable}. The negative lookbehind rejects matches preceded by '{' or word characters, and the negative lookahead rejects matches followed by '}' or word characters, so template placeholders and partial fragments of longer identifiers are excluded. Useful in formula/template parsers to extract raw variable names outside placeholder delimiters.
