Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches everything from the first forward slash to the last forward slash on a line, including both slashes. Because `.*` is greedy, each match spans the longest possible text between slashes, making it useful for shortening or stripping directory prefixes from file paths (e.g., reducing '/home/user/docs/file.txt' to 'file.txt' when replaced). The global flag finds all such path segments throughout the input.
