Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches any whitespace character (space, tab, newline) that is not immediately preceded by a colon-space sequence (': '). Typically used with split() or replace() to tokenize strings—such as separating autocomplete field entries—on whitespace while protecting the spacing inside 'label: value' style pairs. The g flag captures every occurrence, and m applies it across each line of multiline input.
