Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches a line of pipe-delimited data, capturing each field (any characters except a literal pipe) into individual capture groups — roughly 40 fields separated by '|' characters. The first group uses a lazy quantifier while subsequent groups are greedy, allowing each segment between pipes to be extracted independently. Commonly used for parsing pipe-separated value (PSV) files, flat-file exports, logs, or legacy data feeds where each line represents a record. The global and multiline flags let it process multiple records in a single pass.
