Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches two groups of digits separated by any single non-digit character, followed by another non-digit (e.g., a comma or dot decimal separator and a trailing percent sign). Typically used with a replacement like $1.$2 to normalize decimal numbers—for example, converting '50,5%' into '50.5' by swapping the separator for a dot and dropping the % symbol. The g flag finds every occurrence, and m processes each line independently.
