Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches a double quotation mark that is NOT followed by a closing angle bracket (>) before the next opening one (<) — i.e., quotes located outside HTML tags. Its main use case is replacing or escaping quotes in visible text content while leaving attribute quotes inside tags (such as class="...") untouched. The negative lookahead (?![^<>]*>) excludes quotes that belong to tag attributes, and the g flag replaces every occurrence on each line. It assumes fairly simple, well-formed markup without nested angle brackets.
