Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches HTML/XML tags by finding an opening angle bracket, lazily matching any characters until the first closing angle bracket. The non-greedy quantifier ensures each tag is matched individually rather than spanning from the first '<' to the last '>'. Commonly used with String.replace() to strip markup from HTML strings, leaving only the text content. Note it won't match tags spanning multiple lines (no dotAll flag) or handle comments and CDATA specially.
