Test, validate and match regular expressions
A PCRE pattern that optionally matches repeated malformed indent units consisting of an alphanumeric character, a punctuation character, and a tab, followed by optional spaces, then captures the remainder of the current line in group 5. With the global flag, it can scan lines for corrupted indentation or whitespace prefixes, often to strip or normalize them. Because the prefix parts are optional and unanchored and the final `.*` is broad, it can also match ordinary text or empty positions.
