Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches exactly three characters: two consecutive word characters or whitespace (the group quantifier {2} only retains the last matched character), followed by any character except a semicolon. Note the doubled ';;' inside the negated character class is redundant, as duplicates in a character class are ignored. Commonly used in tutorials to demonstrate group quantifiers, negated character classes, and global/multiline flag behavior.
