Test, validate and match regular expressions
Parses the output of the Linux `ip addr` command into capture groups: interface index and name, flags (e.g. BROADCAST,UP), MTU, qdisc, queue length, link type (like link/ether), MAC and broadcast addresses, plus an optional IPv4/IPv6 block capturing the address with CIDR, broadcast, scope, and valid_lft/preferred_lft lifetimes. Used with global+multiline flags to extract details for multiple network interfaces in Python, ideal for network inventory or automation scripts.
