Regex Tester & Validator

Matches an HTML/XML opening tag at the start of a string, consisting of a lowercase tag name, required whitespace, and zero or more attributes in the form name="value" with double-quoted values. Optionally also captures element content followed by a closing tag (e.g., </div>). Useful for basic HTML tag validation or extraction, though limited to lowercase names and double-quoted attributes.
