Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Parses individual lines of `ls -l` output from Unix/Linux systems, capturing the permission string (e.g. drwxr-xr-x), link count, owner, group, file size (with optional thousands separators), timestamp (supporting both 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM' and 'Mon DD HH:MM/YYYY' formats), filename, and symlink target after '->'. Optionally captures inode and block counts. Useful for building file managers, backup scripts, or any tool that needs to programmatically process directory listings.
