Build, test, and debug regular expressions
This pattern breaks a string into three capture groups: everything before an opening parenthesis (group 1), the content inside the parentheses (group 2), and any text after a space following the closing parenthesis (group 3). It is useful for parsing strings like 'Name (details) extra info', such as extracting authors/years from citations, nicknames in chat logs, or labels with parenthetical annotations. Note that the greedy .* may match up to the last parenthesis pair on the line rather than the first.
