Test, validate and match regular expressions
This regex matches any non-whitespace character that appears either at the start of a line (multiline flag) or immediately after a whitespace character. With the global flag enabled, it effectively captures the first character of every word in a text. Common use cases include extracting initials from names or sentences, simple word tokenization, and identifying word starts for acronym generation.
