Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches lines containing a decimal number with up to 5 digits before an optional decimal point and at most 1 digit after it (e.g., '12345.6', '42.5', '7.'). Because every part is optional, it also accepts empty strings or a lone dot, making it suitable for progressive input validation while a user is typing. The multiline flags allow validating each line of multi-line text independently. Commonly used for form fields or ratings requiring limited numeric precision.
