Matches purchase order numbers at the start of a line, case-insensitively. Expects one or more prefixes (NPO, PRO, PCR, REQ, or the digit 8) followed by exactly 7 or 8 digits, with a negative lookahead preventing a 9th digit. Useful for extracting PO, requisition, or procurement identifiers from invoices, ERP exports, and log files.
