Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Captures runs of 'placeable' non-translatable content—printable ASCII plus Greek letters (φ, θ, α), the degree sign, curly apostrophe, and Unicode minus—from CJK text. It skips matches preceded by 第 (ordinal prefix) or followed by 個 (counter/measure word), since those form CJK counting expressions that should stay intact. Typically used in localization tooling to isolate embedded Latin/symbol fragments so they can be preserved verbatim during translation.
