Detects PHP's error suppression operator (@), the so-called 'STFU operator', when applied to variables (@$var) or functions (@func / @\func). The negative lookbehind (?<!\* ) avoids false positives from PHPDoc annotations like '* @param' in docblock comments. Useful for linting and code review tools that flag silenced errors, which often hide real bugs. The gm flags ensure all matches are found across every line of a file.
