Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches phone-number-like sequences in noisy or OCR-scanned text, allowing an optional '+' country code prefix followed by 8–22 characters of digits, spaces, parentheses, dashes, and quotes. It tolerates common OCR digit confusions, accepting lookalike characters such as l, I, O (both Latin and Cyrillic), and '|' in place of the digits 1 and 0. Useful for extracting phone numbers from scanned documents, degraded text, or spam-like content. Typically used with global, multiline, and case-insensitive flags.
