Test, validate and match regular expressions
Validates passwords with a minimum length of 8 printable ASCII characters that contain at least one special (non-word) character. It uses deeply nested alternations that pair a run of word characters (\w) with a mandatory special character, then count the remaining characters via trailing ([!-~]) groups to guarantee the 8-character minimum. Useful for signup/password forms, though it does not enforce digits or uppercase letters separately.
