Test, validate and match regular expressions
A password-validation pattern restricting input to special characters (!, $, #, @, %), uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and digits. Its lookaheads were likely intended to require one character from each category, but since they use * instead of +, they always succeed on empty matches and enforce nothing. As written, it matches any string (including empty) composed solely of the allowed characters.
