Matches WKT (Well-Known Text) POINT geometry strings, capturing longitude and latitude values as named capture groups. Each coordinate is a decimal number with an optional negative sign, e.g. POINT(-122.4194 37.7749). Useful for parsing geographic coordinates from spatial databases like PostGIS or GIS data exports. The gm flags enable global and multiline matching.
