Test, validate and match regular expressions
Parses 'ticky' log entries by matching the literal logger name, then capturing four data groups: an uppercase message type like ERROR or INFO, a free-form message of word characters and spaces, a ticket number (digits with # prefix) inside square brackets, and a username inside parentheses. Also matches a trailing literal 'flags: gm' segment. Commonly used in Python log analysis scripts to extract structured error/ticket/user statistics from unstructured log files.
