Parses EDIFACT IMD (Item Description) segments from ORDERS96B purchase order messages. It anchors at the segment tag, lazily skips the first three data elements (delimited by +) and the first three sub-components (delimited by :), then captures the remaining free-text item description into the named group 'desc'. The character class excludes EDIFACT delimiters (+, :, ') so matching stops at the next field or segment terminator. Commonly used in EDI mapping, validation, and data extraction pipelines.
