Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches text where a repeatable dotted segment (one or more chars, a literal dot, then any char) appears before whitespace and a literal '&&', with the last captured segment reappearing later via backreference. The dotall flag lets it span newlines, making it useful for scanning shell scripts or logs to detect duplicated dotted tokens like paths or module names around an && operator.
