Test, validate and match regular expressions
Matches any line consisting solely of zeros, dots, and commas, including completely empty lines since the * quantifier allows zero characters. Note that escaping the dot and comma inside the character class is unnecessary, as neither requires escaping there. It is commonly used to detect blank or zero-valued rows in CSV or spreadsheet-like data for filtering or cleanup. The multiline flag makes ^ and $ anchor to the start and end of each line rather than the whole string.
