Matches positive or negative numbers, including decimals with either dot or comma separators (supporting European notation) and fractions written with forward slashes. It can also match chained fraction-like sequences such as '1/2/3' or decimal fractions like '3.5/2.5'. Useful for extracting numeric values, measurements, or recipe quantities from text, with the gm flags enabling global, multiline matching.
