Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches decimal numbers with up to 7 digits before and 1-4 digits after a decimal point (e.g., 123.4567), or plain integers of 1-7 digits. Note that due to alternation precedence, the ^ anchors only the first branch and the $ anchors only the second, so it actually matches strings that start with such a decimal or end with such an integer. Typically used for validating numeric input like prices, quantities, or measurements with bounded precision.
