Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches a numeric value on its own line, permitting an optional leading minus sign, comma-separated digit groups (like 1,000,000), an optional decimal part, and an optional scientific-notation exponent (e.g., -3.5e10). The 'gm' flags make it validate each line of multiline input independently. Useful for validating numbers in forms or parsing numeric fields, though its permissive quantifiers also allow edge cases like a lone '-', ',', or '.'.
