Build, test, and debug regular expressions
Matches the local part (username) of an email address — everything immediately before the @ symbol. It uses a word boundary, then captures word characters, dots, and hyphens, with a positive lookahead to ensure an @ follows without consuming it. For example, in 'john.doe@mail.com', it matches 'john.doe'. Useful for extracting usernames from email lists or validating/extracting email components in logs and text processing.
